The Heart Behind Presence and Power

Presence and Power Ministries was born out of a desire to move and minister in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit - to see people encounter the living God and be saved, healed, and set free.

When Armin first began ministering, he recognised that there were many words, but little demonstration of God’s power to change people’s lives. As he drew closer to God, the Lord began to reveal to him that the gospel is meant to be proclaimed with power: power to save, power to heal, and power to deliver.

God impressed upon his heart that as he faithfully preached the true, pure, unadulterated gospel of Jesus Christ, God Himself would confirm His Word through His presence and power, setting people free.

That conviction shapes everything we do. We depend on the Holy Spirit as we preach Jesus Christ, trusting Him to do what our words alone never could.

Through gospel crusades, church revival gatherings, and healing meetings, our passion and calling is to bring people into the presence and power of God. We long to see the lost come to salvation, the sick receive healing, those in bondage find freedom, and believers grow in a living, personal relationship with Him.

This is the heart of Presence and Power Ministries: to proclaim Jesus Christ and minister in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, so that lives are transformed.

Meet Armin and Crisjane

Armin and Crisjane Theron share a calling to preach the gospel, serve the Church, and see lives transformed by Jesus Christ.

Armin’s Story

Armin grew up in church, but for years he struggled to understand why a holy God who hates sin would die for a sinner. At eighteen, after years away from church, he attended a service where a young preacher shared his testimony of freedom from addiction.

Initially, Armin sat in the congregation mocking the message in his mind. Then God spoke to him with unmistakable clarity: “I will change you just like I changed this man, and I will send you all around the world to preach My gospel.”

That night, Armin surrendered his life to Jesus. He was set free from drugs, pornography, alcohol, and anger, and began to understand that eternal life is knowing God personally and being transformed through that relationship.

From that moment, Armin knew he was called to ministry. As he drew closer to God, he developed a deep passion for preaching the gospel, praying for the sick, and helping people encounter the Holy Spirit. This calling led to Revival Nights - gatherings marked by worship, the presence of God, and testimonies of healing and freedom.

Crisjane’s Story

Crisjane’s journey to faith began when she noticed a friend reading the Bible and started asking questions. As she sought God for herself, she recognised that her life needed to change and began her own walk with Jesus.

Early in her journey, she was taught to be cautious of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues. Later, while attending CRC, she had her own encounter with the Holy Spirit and received the gift of tongues. The One she had once been taught to approach with caution became, in her words, her closest friend.

Crisjane went on to complete missionary training through REACH with OM (Operation Mobilisation), developing both her heart for the lost and her passion for discipleship. She carries a deep desire to see believers grow in their relationship with God, discover their gifts, and mature as Christians and leaders.

She plays a vital role in the ministry, leading teams and helping others grow in their faith and calling.

Serving Together

Armin and Crisjane met in church and today minister side by side, united by their love for Jesus and their commitment to the work He has called them to do.

Together, they seek to reach the lost, strengthen believers, and serve alongside local churches. Their shared desire is to see people encounter God, be transformed by His presence and power, and continue growing in a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ.

03 / Serving the Church

Our Ministry Philosophy

Our ministry philosophy is that evangelists are called to serve the local church, not operate independently of her. We believe in unity, submission, and teamwork. One of the roles of the evangelist is to reach the lost with the gospel and help bring them into the life of the local church, where they can grow as disciples of Jesus Christ.

For this reason, we partner closely with local churches and church leaders wherever we minister. Our desire is not simply to hold large gatherings, but to see lasting fruit as people come to salvation and are connected to healthy local churches in their communities.

Wherever we go, whether locally or across nations, we aim to support, honor, and work alongside local church leaders, building one strong, united front to see lives transformed.

Our Covering

Presence and Power is submitted to CRC Church (led by Pastor At Boshoff) and operates in submission under the CRC department: CRCGO (CRC Global Outreaches) under the leadership of Pastor Jacques Venter, who directly oversees our ministry, raising us up as evangelists and guiding our outreach efforts. At Presence and Power Ministries, we are not just evangelists - we are partners in the mission of the Church, walking in unity with believers, leaders, and communities as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ with a hurting world.

Leadership

Presence and Power is led by Armin and Crisjane Theron, a husband-and-wife team with a shared calling to evangelism and gospel outreach. Together, they serve the Church with a heart for the lost, operating in submission to local church leadership and committed to unity, humility, and obedience to God's Word.
